How are WE always "anti-"??

NPR brass apparently had a meeting to decide how to address pro-lifers and pro-aborts on-air. I must admit - I'm surprised that in the memo issued by David Sweeney, NPR's managing editor, he uses the term "pro-life" at all. But of course, in the end, the pro-LIFE side ends up with the negative connotation. They decide to use the terms "abortion rights supporter(s)/advocate(s)" and "abortion rights opponent(s)" or derivatives thereof. Somehow in the media, the pro-life side is always referred to as either ANTI-abortion, ANTI-choice, or abortion rights OPPONENTS. All of them portray a negativity. Which is ironic since we're actually PRO-life, PRO-child, and PRO-woman.
