Reflections of a STAY-AT-HOME Catholic, sports fanatic, pro-life activist, intermittently-avid fitness buff, political junkie, MOM...and then some. None of which I stay home for.
Old post, I know... but, I did WW in the past and am thinking that I need that kind of discipline again to lose this weight. I'm ready to try for #3, but without losing around 20 lbs, I'm afraid that I'll NEVER get the weight off and continue being unhealthy in pregnancy and after. Are you trying the new point system? Thoughts?
Hey Lisa! I highly recommend WW to anyone. I had a really rough time getting used to the new system, but now I think I love it! Mainly b/c all fruits & veggies are 0! Other things went up, but so did the daily point allotment. I just do online...I don't go to meetings. I don't know if you've heard of some of the free online food journals. LoseIt, Spark People, Fit Day. They are very similar to tracking for WW but instead of points, it just gives you calories, fat, fiber, protein, carbs, etc. and tailors it to your weight/height, and your ideal weight. Just a thought. My trainer even uses Fit Day!The WW Points system is definitely easier just because it's simplified down for you. But if you want to not pay for something, there are resources available. Email me if you have any other questions. I love talking about this stuff!! :) nmlehe (at) gmail (dot) com
